Howling Wolf by blackbutterfly006 Howling Wolf by blackbutterfly006
Originally I wanted to use this pose for another picture, but I thought it might not fit too well...meh, now I gotta think of something else XD (and please don't hit me if the anatomy seems to be fail....because I usually fail a lot at wolves XD)
I hope you like it :3

I love this <333 I was wondering if I could possibly use this for a wood-burning project for a gift for my friend's b-day? She really likes wolves, and I was thinking a tribal design would look really cool. ^^

It looks great to me! I can't see anything wrong with it, but then again I don't normally pay attention to details like that sometimes.

XD that's good to hear, though there are some people who see some mistakes with the first sight....that's kinda depressing...XD but thank you!!

It actually can take me a while to see mistakes with things but I don't normally see it on humans and animals. Anything I'm really into I'll see mistakes with (game characters, model trains, and such) but otherwise I won't really notice it.

Yeah, okay, if you're into something you'll probably see it faster...ok, and if the tail grows out of the head...anyone should notice that XD

XD yeah they would kinda see that pretty easily. Anyway don't freak out too much about your art, just about every artist does.

Also, I don't want this to sound bad, but from what I've learned, there's always someone better than you and always someone worse than you. This goes for everyone in every job and hobby. From what I can tell this actually helps others to become better, because we always try to be better than we are (basically reach the peak performance). This pretty much all stems from the "practice makes perfect" phrase.

So basically just keep going the way you are, you'll do fine, and so far you're way ahead of me when it comes to drawing animals.

Yeah, I know that, but sometimes it can be kinda depressing when you see how easily and fast others can draw..I dunno...dragons or whatever and you just look on your paper after three hours of sketching and erasing and you think..."oh my god...what have I done to this poor creature??? :iconohwhyplz:"

But thank you anyways, I will keep practicing :) (but really, I'm not good with animals...I take forever and I need like...100000000000 references...and even that's not enough XD)

Yeah, same here. But at least you've got the tribal images down. Even I can't do that, mostly cause I have no idea of where to start with that one.
And as to drawing the pic 1k times over, that's to be expected. I once drew a pic that took me several tries a day for a little over a week just to get it to look right and even then it still wasn't the way I wanted. But luckily the person it was going to loved it. :)
That's always a good thing to look for btw is people who like your style. I know I like your art!

Tribal is actually pretty easy...you just start drawing random lines somewhere, the rest happens XD
Sometimes I'm a bit surprised that people like my stuff...because often I'm like..."whyyyy do they think that this stuff is good?? oO" but when I've put a lot of work in a pic I like it even more than the other ones :D
